Regarding "More"

More is a 6 minute animated short, using the stop motion technique. In it it tells the story about the depression of a inventor who has a dead end job on a assembling line and his longing of returning to the happiness of childhood. It also brings up the attempts of society to find happiness mainly through material means as well as topics such as loneliness and isolation.
It was made by Mark Osborne and was nominated for an Academy Award in 1998 for Best Short Animated Film. Well worth a second viewing. And a third for that matter. 4 out of 5!

Regarding "Farm Sluts"

Basically it's about a guy who loses everything after a friend sends him a email that links to a site called "Farm Sluts" as a joke. It's pretty funny starring Chris Parell. I gave it a 3 out of 5. It's 16 minutes long. Not much room for analysis in it, really. I think it all was pretty obvious.

Regarding "A Ninja pays half my rent"

A short film about a guy who's new roommate is a ninja. 5 minutes long. What can I say? A bit short to be actually hilarious but with a great basic concept. I thought it was both cute and funny when I watched it. Anyway, what do you have to lose? 5 minutes of your life? I gave this movie a 4 out of 5 when I rated it. Maybe it should have been a 3...

A Ninja Pays Half My Rent

When your roommate dies from an allergic reaction to fruit and the rent is due and you don't have the cash to cover it, there's no time to mess around picking a new roommate. So it goes that our hero in this short comes to share his home with a ninja.

Regarding "Music for one apartment and six drummers."

I came across this short film on google video after I got it as a recommendation from the Swedish movie site Filmtipset I'm a member on. It's pretty sweet. Apparently it's an awardwinning film about six drummers who break into a apartment to perform music on whatever utensils they find. Nice music and a pretty sweet vibe. It got a 4- out of 5 from me. But that's pretty generous really, for a 10 minute movie. Anyway, I posted it directly to the blog so you can watch it here. Enjoy!

Opening statement

What I intend to do with this blog is to give you my opinion on things. Yeah, and link stuff I think looks cool. This will mainly be short films. I love movies, what can I say. This will mainly be the topic of the blog too. Movies that is. Not that I love them. Even though I think that will come up as well. Right.
